There is an awful lot of land that is currently not being built (and may not be for the next year or so).

It may be an ideal time to use this land for growing food; it'd liven the place up at the very least, and we'd be able to eat what we grow!

Inspiration came from http://www.guerrillagardening.org/

Cheers,

- Alasdair

I believe there is a proposal to buy some wild flower seed for general planting on the undeveloped land - so that might help as well...!

I'd love it if we had some allotments available for residents to use as part of the development. We've all got such small gardens, it's hard to grow too much at home. An allotment on Orchard Park would be great as it would be within walking distance.

I've found a site called landshare where people can advertise if they have land which others can use for growing crops. There are a couple of places mentioned in Cambridge: http://landshare.channel4.com/listings/by/Cambridgeshire
